Gabe studied Neuroscience as an undergraduate student at Pomona College and a graduate student at the University of California, San Diego. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Washington; thereafter he led laboratories at HHMI’s Janelia Research Campus (2009-2015) and the Allen Institute for Brain Science (2016-2020).
Before joining the OCR as a research strategist and grant writer Gabe served as a science writer for the Biological Sciences Division at the University of Chicago and a technical editor for the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Division at the Fred Hutch Cancer Center. He splits his time between Lopez Island and Seattle, WA and looks forward to regular visits to the SF Bay Area. (He was born and raised in Santa Cruz.)
